Was the writer on crack when he wrote the critique of the Catcher in the Rye? The writer contradicted himself when he says, the book was written through the eyes of J.D. Salinger and not Caulfield and yet admits in an earlier piece that it provided instant identification for all adolescents reading it. Perhaps he knows what a phony he is..:D
