Kitabkhana learned only recently that Hima Raza, a young Pakistani poet, died on May 29 after a car accident. The Babu had hoped to meet Hima Raza and Uzma Aslam Khan, who were supposed to come to Delhi earlier this year for a literary conference–but India’s passport office, in an act of spectacular pettiness, denied the two their visas. The Dawn carried a tribute to Hima Raza.
